  • Dr. Jodi Pawluski

    HEAD OF RESEARCH

    A mother, a neuroscientist, therapist, and author, Dr. Pawluski is an internationally recognized expert in parental brain science and perinatal mental health. Her research explores how the brain changes during motherhood, the impact of maternal mental health conditions on families, and the role of treatments like antidepressants and probiotics. Published in top journals such as JAMA Neurology and Trends in Neurosciences, her work has also been featured in major media outlets like The New York Times and Scientific American. Certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) and trained as a Motherhood Studies Practitioner, Dr. Pawluski provides counseling and consultation services while advocating for accessible science through her podcast Mommy Brain Revisited and her book Mommy Brain. A mother of two, she combines professional expertise and personal experience to empower families and build healthier communities.

Dr. Lasseter launched Austin’s first Women’s Mental Health clinic and, in 2018, was awarded the Association of Women Psychiatrists Symonds Fellowship for advancing women’s mental health in Central Texas. She is an affiliate faculty member at Dell Medical School, a perinatal psychiatric consultant at St. David’s Women’s Center, and a member of the International Society of Reproductive Psychiatry.

    A mother, a Professor of Psychology and Director of the Brain, AI, and Child (BAIC) Center at the University of Denver, Dr. Kim is renowned for her expertise in brain development and emotional bonding, particularly in parent-child relationships. Her research at the BAIC Center focuses on the emotional and social dimensions of human-AI interactions, AI safety, and the impact of generative AI on child development. With over 95 publications supported by prestigious agencies like the NSF and NIH, she has also chaired the University of Denver’s Institutional Review Board and serves on advisory boards for child AI safety organizations, including Everyone AI.
